Known for such worldwide worship anthems as “Mighty To Save,” “From the Inside Out,” “My Hope,” “Shout To The Lord,” “Hosanna,” “The Stand” and many more, Hillsong returns to the US to launch its “God Is Able” tour November 18 in Minneapolis, MN. The tour travels to 13 cities for worship nights in churches, theaters and arenas before wrapping up December 6 in San Diego, CA (full tour schedule is listed below).
In addition to its worship favorites, Hillsong will debut songs from God Is Able that were birthed out of a year that has received its fair share of turmoil, both in Australia and around the world, with tsunamis, earthquakes, nuclear disasters, tornadoes and war. The songs are about seeing people connect in a real and personal way with the Living God in control of the universe, encouraging hope, even in the midst of our present circumstances.
“We are continually reminded just how true those words are: God is able - able to save, able to heal, able to rescue from the fiercest storms and highest floods,” says Hillsong’s Reuben Morgan, co-writer of the song “Mighty To Save,” sung by an estimated 40 million people in church each week. “There are so many times when we are in situations beyond our control, and there’s something revolutionary about being able to say or sing, our God is able, In His name we overcome, for the Lord our God is able.”
Recorded with thousands of worshippers gathered together at Sydney Entertainment Centre in Australia, God Is Able is a global expression of praise and worship from Hillsong Church. The acclaimed album, which released in July, shares the simple, yet profound message that God’s ability is infinite in capacity and yet entirely intimate in focus.
While on tour in the US, Hillsong will also share new music from its Christmas EP, Born Is The King, releasing November 8. This studio recording includes two new songs, “Born Is The King (It’s Christmas),” written by Matt Crocker and Scott Ligertwood, and “Emmanuel,” written by Reuben Morgan. The full track listing follows:
1. The Westward Procession
2. Joy To The World
3. Born Is The King (It’s Christmas)
4. Emmanuel
5. We Three Kings
6. Come Let Us Adore Him
7. Holy Night
8. Silent Night
